Request Limits
Request limits are jointly enforced by the gateway, file service, model service, and billing system. This page documents stable constraints of the public API; actual limits are indicated by server error codes.
Basic limits
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| File uploads | POST /v1/files uses the multipart field file; purpose is required. The maximum size of one file is 512 MB. |
| ASR input | Supports file, file_id, url, and audio_url. Choose exactly one input source. audio_data, Base64, and other inline audio are not accepted. |
| MOSS-VL input | POST /v1/responses requires a non-empty text instruction and either 1–5 images or one video. Images and video cannot be mixed. |
| MOSS-VL media sources | Use a server-accessible URL or file_id. Pass URLs with image_url or video_url. |
| MOSS-VL media size | Each image can be up to 30 MB; one video can be up to 200 MB. |
| Audio output formats | Examples include mp3 and wav; supported formats depend on the endpoint, and mp3 is recommended. |
| Asynchronous tasks | Use async=true to create a task, then query it with task_id. |
| URL security | url, audio_url, image_url, and video_url cannot point to localhost, a loopback address, or a private address. |
